(This is a very playable map due to its design and construction, this is fun to play and to look at.It took me some time to complete because i was distracted by the scenery-loved the maze!)
(This is reasonably balanced, there are troop/building restrictions, but a seasoned player will have little trouble completing the challenges. You think your reinforcements are enough-they are not! after crossing the plains of pain and navigating the maze you are humbled-do not rush! The mission'saxon surprise 'was just that-prudent planning is required-keep some troops back near your lord.
(Incredible-one of the few maps i've played and reviewed where you get distracted by the landscape. )
Map Design: 5
(Again -incredible design,i loved the silted up estuary, the swamps. The whole map is very atmospheric-moody and sullen.Brooding, the castle sat atop the mountain is brilliant.Again what can i say the maze, the swamps etc fantastic, you have clearly taken your time with this . )
(the missions more than make up for this.In my opinion it doesnt matter too much if the story is short or long, each to their own-(no offense intended to those who love to write-i enjoy a good story. )
There are a few criticizms, one being in the editor, you have Sir Bedivere as your lord, but in gameplay it is Hildebrand-i changed the setting in the editor to Sir Bedivere and got instant defeat.Secondly the messages some play some don't but i have the same trouble,i see you used different files and that takes time and effort, but the idea worked. The design-highly innovative-the great use of textures, effects add to the 'feel' and as before i became distracted more than once!Back to that maze and the plain, and the hills, filled with traps and enemy troops, nice touch.I look forward to more great maps.LD.UPDATE-regarding the sounds not playing after the first mission, this must be a bug in the game itself or something, the sounds work in all the missions in SH2,the only way round is (1)make several maps the same, each with a seperate mission,my 'the curse of Tul Ghudren' for example.or (2) don't use sound effects-but that cuts down on the 'atmosphere'.
