Rocky Hills!
This map is a map that I love to play on,because there are 2 keeps and 5 villages on the map!
the 2 keeps have rocky hills around the your keep and only one way in and out of the rocks.
Therefore it can be a great advantage for defending your keep from trouble.
there are 2 villages that produce APPLES and 2 keeps that produce BREAD.
Also there is a map that is covered from a lake and there are 2 bridges leading into the village,
that village produces BREAD,APPLES,CHEESE.Its the best village to own of course.
I really injoy playing this map and I hope you do also,I just love these types of maps for some
reason? But you may not like it,it depends on the type of maps you play on.if your map is a very openspaced map you may not like it very much.BUT give it a try and Please rate this map.I must know what you think of the map.
injoy it. |

Playability: 3
This map is playable, but it didn't really stand out too much for me. You don't really need to build any walls around your castle, since the mini mountain range does it all for you, but that didn't really matter I guess, depends on the player. The estates were nice, but I never really worried too much about getting them or keeping them.
Balance: 3
The resources are fairly balanced, you don't really need to take over or keep any of the estates for a major resource. The natural mountain range protecting your castles aren't exactly balanced, one has two entrances instead of just one entrance.
Creativity: 3
The mountain ranges around the castles were a nice idea. There isn't really any other kind of eye candy around though.
Map Design: 2
There is no iron or swamp on the map, I don't usually worry much about swamp, I have hardly really seen anyone bother using them much, but there is no way to make any units that need iron (but then again, if your using a mercenary camp and seige workshop, you wouldn't really care too much, or maybe buy it at a market if you end up needing it). I thought all the animals might be annoying, but they turn out to be ok. The mountain range protecting your estates was a nice a idea, except the bottom player seems to have a little "back entrance" to his mountain range, it's not enclosed like the other one.
Story/Instructions: 3
No story, no mini map either, although, there is a description of the map.
Additional Comments:
Good map to play on, but maybe those estates could be a bit more interesting, there weren't really any estates between you and your enemy to fight over, but there was a lot of unused map area instead. They also didn't really produce anything you couldn't yourself (there is heaps of room in your own playing area). The file in your zip is called "Copy of Rocky Hills" by the way, looks a bit strange.[Edited on 06/18/05 @ 08:55 PM]
