Middleton is not like your average Kingmaker maps. There is a certain key to winning the game. It is a town. You see, the land of Middleton, like others has a river flowing through it separating you and your mortal enemy, whomever that may be. Yet the river separated and formed for lack of a better term, what we shall call an island. Some folks decided that would be a good place to build their little town now that is the only thing between you and your foe. You must seize the town and hold it. If you buy it early and are not able to hold it your foe will get an easy town without a hit to their honor. It requires strategy to choose when to make your move. This map contains wonderful scenery including Gargantuan plateaus, Low swamps, Resources abundant. Yet, through all this great scenery I’m able to keep large planes for you to expand your kingdom. I really hope you enjoy this map. |

Middleton is a VERY good multiplayer kingmaker, also nice with single player. This wonderful scenario allows you to create an effective town supplied with all 4 resources needed. This map actually pushed me to build with motive; take control of middleton.
Balance: 4
The balance in this map is just right. Each side has resources placed. Not only is it placed, but it is placed beautifully. Each player has just as much of a chance as the other. There is also strategy hidden in this map that will promote the chance of your crowning.
Creativity: 3
Your thoughts created a nice story and map that will entice players as it did me. A basic town in middle of two greedy lords who strive to gain as much territory as possible.
Map Design: 4
What I liked most about your map design is how you managed to create natural terrain based off of actual world terrain. You added details which enhances it's look. Although, a little more water detail would have been nice.
Story/Instructions: 3
I liked the story and the name of this fictional town. It is not common, nor rare. A little detail on how the town came to be and it's history would have been nice to include.
Additional Comments: This is a creative map that will bring satisfaction to all players alike. You can expect to see me playing this online. Good work! I also expect to see more of your work. I fixed the story score because you actually did give a small story.

A good map for wiling away an afternoon. I played for a good two hours and enjoyed the scenery and challenge.
Balance: 5
A two player map with all the necessary resources evenly distributed...Very even!
Creativity: 4
Middleton certainly was the key to the map. A novel concept worthy of admiration!
Map Design: 4
Just enough design elements to keep the game going. I am not a fan of lots of resource robbing eye candy. I want to fight! Just enough wilderness to make it a good scenario!
Story/Instructions: 4
Adequate! Just right to paint a picture but not so much that you feel lectured to...
Additional Comments:
A good map to play for a couple of hours! Very fun Indeed!

This map is so much fun to play on, have had it for ages now, its one of the best 1v1 maps I have played on. Taking control of Middleton was more than half the fun, this is a great little map!
Balance: 4
Both players have roughly about the same playing space to begin with, all the iron and stone and swamp is on all the starting locations, the balancing was excellent.
Creativity: 4
This map doesn't have huge building areas for the players, but that really makes it more of an incentive to gain control of Middleton. The main concept of this game is upheld all the time during game play ie. to take control of Middleton.
Map Design: 4
I loved the mountains that had the stone and iron on them, getting all your resources looked a bit more natural on this map, not just put there so u can play the game. Everything looked natural, not overdone at all, and definitely nice to play on.
Story/Instructions: 4
This map has both story and instructions, story wasn't really in depth, but it still gave some character to the map.
Additional Comments:
Great map for 1v1 play, I recommend this map to all my mates. Lots of strategy involved when playing it![Edited on 06/17/05 @ 08:21 PM]

It's fun but easy in the respects that all one has to do is place 'towers' at the river banks and set your archers to kill anything that crosses the bridges.
Balance: 5
Balance is good.
Creativity: 5
Very cleaver in design.
Map Design: 4
I like eye candy and I thought it lacked a little here. It was still very good, though.
Story/Instructions: 5
Good enough for a five from me.
Additional Comments:
The only drawback was the fact that defence was too easy by placing those towers on the river banks.
I would suggest a larger map to separate the three areas more. Everything was to close to each other making defence too easy.
