First time making a map, so go easy on me! Any pointers, advice or suggestions are welcome. It has waterfalls, a hot spring, 4 players with 4 villages and outlaws! I would also like to have it rated if possible, thanks.
Hello, I do not know if you check your comments. I only check a few times a year now it seems. You will not see many comments. Most people download maps and play and don't leave feedback. As a fellow map maker I know that it's nice to see some feedback once in a while. I have maps that have been around for a while and have 800+ downloads and no comments. Anyway long spiel aside.
This is your first map? Then you show great potential. The first thing people usually go for is the flow of the water, I looked at briefly and it seemed to flow in a decent manner. One place looked like you made a pool (the long spiral trail). The castles and estates had decent room and a low supply of iron/ston (too much iron breaks the game for me).
However... I was about 20 minutes in and after I alt+tabbed to figure out why my thrash metal had stopped.... Anyway, game froze. Had to end task and decided to call it a night. I'm looking forward to playing a new map. I have tons of maps from this website and 100% play kingmaker so I guarantee you I will play this map again and possibly a third time but that would be it (Bender from Futurama quote there). I also spotted what I instantly saw as "your castle", whenever I build a map it seems I put the most into where I intend to build my castle and that castle on the hill in the bottom-right corner seemed like a very defensible spot and maybe you made that for yourself :D
Anyway, I haven't had any luck with multiplayer games nor do I know many Strongholder's, if you have Steam my username is BigJ24 if you would like to game it up sometime or something.
