ok i use dovecate to minimize the room for ladders and it prevents the attacker from getting inside the castle through others way.
you probably have to break the gatehouses to get inside.
i test it in duke start level, and i thought its ok, and you can also save it as the Queen's castle. Queen and Hammer are OK for this, the others just too weak.
Of coz the AI still stupid, but there is nothing i can change.
please drop a comment let me know what you think.
thanks. |

Nice work, you have done a lot right. I think it could be improved by turning the Armory so it faces to the outside where the storehouse will be. Those Dovecotes are a little crazy. |

thanks for comments
yea i know decorate are maybe too much, but it is useful to prevent ladder attack, and i dont find any substitutor so far.
i once tried armory facing outside, but turn out it is a bit easy to kill which cause the AI player losing some weapons.
IMO a big problem is AI doesn't work with brazier.
and the number of archers on towers seems to be fixed, um...it greatly affect the castle defence.[Edited on 01/03/11 @ 11:11 PM]

The number of defenders is fixed. They will get distributed among the gather points you place so, the more points you place the less troops at each one, on the other hand, only one point will get all the defenders to gather in that one spot. There are details of each lord in the forum thread on .aic's.
Braziers can only be placed on Walls. You still have the Armoury in a good spot so no big deal there.
I wish the Firefly editor worked for me, it has a couple options the SHKnights editor doesn't. |

I wish the Firefly editor worked for me, too.
dovecates can be honor booster while traps cant :p
digin ,traps are just kind of useless in an AI vs Human game, they are costy and consumable ,and human player's troops are often "too many".
as doomsword mentioned and confirmed, the archer number is fixed, so giving unbreakable crazy stuff to the crazy stupid AI is just fair IMO. haha.
honestly SH2 ai is far from good
i am just lookin forward to stronghold 3.
anyway, thanks for comments guys ^^[Edited on 01/05/11 @ 10:14 AM]

it looks really good, but i dont really like it :(
not because it was poorly made, because it was very well made, i just like the old Hammer castle that was huge. I recommend taking this plan and just making the castle bigger.
awesome tho, keep it up~! :P

great castle xD.Since the ai might be stupid enough not to destroy the bird houses and just go for the wall which wouldnt get them to the lord. Where you can have all the glory in killing him when the walls have gone xD.
Im also looking for some help... i might start modding because ive already made some personal mods but i need to know how to upload my maps and units. Help would be appreciated xD.
Also how you actually customise a ai castle ;P because i have a great idea in mind.
Take your time to comment :). |
