Anyways, this is a new texture for the unit "light_cavalry". This is not my first time modding, but it is my first time modding Stronghold 2. This is my first test unit, to see if you lords/ladies like it and I MAY release more. The README file inside the folder you download tells a lot about what you should know about the file and maybe answer some questions. This is a ZIP file, so you need winrar/winzip to open it. Go and see it for yourself. Once again most things are in the ReadMe file. Also please give feedback and ask any questions, I'm very busy in real life atm, so I will probably get to them next week or so. Maybe this week. If something is missing in the file then I uploaded the wrong one. Just tell me I will be back tomorrow.
Enjoy and good morning, good afternoon, and good night.
(A must have mod for those wishing to break away from the militants on horses, into armored paladins)
I love everything about this modded unit, especially all the armor plates from the stomach down that look close to realistic.the only tiny flaw i think this mod has is the noseguard which looks a little akward when zoomed in from the side. But other than that great mod.

Hey, how did you actually edit the Light Cav texture? Whenever I get the alpha channel off, I wind up with just the face and helmet textures, the rest is all black.
BTW, I tried your skin ingame and it looks pretty good.

@Lord_matthew1234 and lanchedgehog
I agree, there is a mod all ready out with a horse and chain-mail. I believe it's located right here..
I'm trying to upload my next modification, but, WinRAR is being a pain.
Also Thank you ImperialRecorder.

Good mod, the shield looks a bit viking though. From the title, I guess you based it on Medieval 2 Total War?
