-!!-IMPORTANT-!!-
You will need to use in castles folder files to play that way as I planned (to not have high difficulty in passing mission).
Follow instructions (step by step, maybe read it even twice to understand it, read in):
1) Go to your Stronghold 2 game dictory folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\Firefly Studios\Stronghold2)
2) find there folder named "castles".
Backup it, like: putting that folder somewhere else from that game folder or just rename it like "castles01".
3) Then copy folder named "castles" from downloaded/unzipped continent to game folder
(e.g. C:\Program Files\Firefly Studios\Stronghold2).
4) Ready to go! :P

Hello, TwoDie!
Beautiful map and lots of fun to play! You're right, the map starts out being pretty hard; but if you can get through the first half, you will probably succeed. Without looking at the scripting, I'd say you've done a great job with the overall balance of triggers and events, too.
I did have one crazy thing happen after conquering Edwin: his men became friendly, but his catapults kept attacking my estate. I was unable to destroy them because my troops still considered them friends. So, I was lucky to have already built everything I needed to survive before my entire estate was ruined.
Thanks for taking the time to give us a good challenge!

Salar, it sounds like the problem is with your game version. 1.4.1 maps will not play on earlier versions. The troops walk on water and through walls. Update your game if you want to play maps made in 1.4.1. |

Great stuff! A lot of micromanagement is required here! |

Playability:
If only more maps were as good as this stunning scenario. And if you probably think that those few quests in mission #1 would be easy to achieve … far from it! No glitches or bugs at all, and you are mainly concerned to deal with food supply/consumption, taxation and the fulfillment of different tasks. The range of the available civilian and military buildings is wisely combined, although free and open space on a densely populated island is fairly scarce. I admit the initial sequence of invasions is a quite tough, especially during the first two missions, but it is absolutely beatable, believe me! Don’t despair if you should fail at first, and I won’t spoil anything…
Balance:
When it comes to the point that you have to accumulate honor in order to enable the recruitment of stronger units (swordsmen) your individual skills in honor management will be required. The northeastern village estate due to its iron deposits will then play a major role in this case. I’ve never been in such a hurry to hire masses of archers while I got persistently harassed by hordes of enemy troops, catapults and ballistae. For a long time, I felt like going two steps forward and one step back. A judicious thinking is what is keeping you on your toes throughout the four missions; except from a subsiding enemy activity towards the end, (the final invasions in mission #4 might be substantially tougher).
Creativity:
This to me, is what Stronghold is about: an excellent scenario, plenty to keep you amused, quite a challenge and appealing to the eye! The score here is mainly influenced by playability and balance, both of which are superb; however, story is a bit meager. The scripting sensitively constructed befits the author’s talent to create such a peculiar map, well done!
Map Design:
It’s a very individual design of an island reflecting a characteristic simplicity of its own. The populations of six different small estates have to live crowded together. The grassy terrain seems to be fertile, though agriculture isn’t possible to run everywhere, because of its geographic conditions or other circumstances. Just a few trees and bushes to chop, and the coastal zone along with steep cliffs makes it hard to ride at anchor there. Thus, any trading by sea isn’t allowed. I also missed the roaring breakers around the island at a whole. Maybe more seagulls could be implemented as well in view of a naturalistic biosphere. Moreover, I’ve been asking myself, what may cause any human being to settle on a lonely island like this where drinking water is running short? (No rippling little streams, just ponds).
Story:
The author didn’t put much effort in conceiving or writing up a good narration. He confined himself to formulate an outline of the main points with rudimentary words (kind of telegram). Such an adventurous scenario would have deserved an appropriate and attractive title as well. Nevertheless, nice screen shots of the island making you curious about more details …
Additional comments:
Congrats, Two Die, on an outstanding work, it is worth a try or more …!

Too small map size so they are a bit too near each other.. This is least my fault :P
Im bad at writting and its not my biggest concern in making maps. Hadnt any thoughts about map name so... :]
Thanks for review,
