A widely varied map with check and balances keeping all 6 positions different from the last.
Across the sea in far of Indonesia, a Mountain blows it's top... Superstitous Europeans know not what to make of the sign. The sky is dark, vegetation rots and swarms with damp loving insets. Taking the incident a sign from God, six lords vow to release the choking grip the clouds of ash have on the land. Each is convinced the next is practicing sorcery, in backwater swamps or steep valleys. And so a fight brews bloody remnants of men through the river to the sea.
The 3 main areas are:
The eastern estates, two large landmasses with two players separated from the rest by the large central river.
The northwestern valley with another two players protected against other players by a steep cliff
The coastal areas hold the remaining two players, one next to the river and the other by a quarry of minerals.
The only downside to the map is it can be a bit crowded, but this is to force expansion into the many estates.
Just added mini-map as of 3/29/08

Just make sure you have the right flag in the estate:
- Place a castle flag on the estate, then simply make sure it has enough room to place the said castle.
- Also make sure it's a Kingmaker Scenario, or you will need to set your Lord's place on the Editor Screen with the Minimap.

Hey, this site never posts reviews anymore so I'm writing one as a comment for you.
Playability: 5
Everything works well and AI all built, expanded and provided a fun game.
Balance: 4
I hate balance. It is only for multi-player. This map is unbalanced in a very good way. Who want to start with everything avail anyways? You gotta work for the money!
Creativity: 4
Excellent land structure with plenty of route options when planning a siege into enemy territory. Nothing super unique.
Map Design: 4.5
Again it all works. Good use of landscape, shading and vegetation.
Story/Instructions: 5
Kingmaker, ya ya.
Overall a good fun map. I sarted alone in the NE castle. To the south was the hammer, also alone. The west bank was the Queen, Bishop, and Edwin all allied, with the Bishop northern most, Edwin to the south and the queen in the middle/western-most estate. A very fun time. Thanks
