Arthur's Island Resort v1.6
_______________________________________________
The boat landing was easy enough. Merlin, Arthur, and the entire company of the Round Table disembarked their galley and went to shore. Soon, the boat had faded into the horizon, with Guinevere waving a tearful farewell to her husband, and the crew cheering and shouting wishes of good fortune to them.
Arthur's Island Resort is a small castle built into the cliffs of a tiny island. The elevation varies greatly, and a rocky stream flows through the center. All the resources one could need to defend a stronghold lie on it, with the exception of any decent supply of swamp-tar (pitch).
Yet, through it all, Guinevere and the crew may never see their king again. For, although the island seems safe enough, it holds a powerful construction.
King Arthur, rarely happy if away from battle for too long, has created a portal that will summon armies of illusionary men to assault the resort-castle. While illusions they be, their weapons and muscle are hardly non-existant. It is all possible that the king may suffer his demise at any visit to the islands, but that is his decision.
Will the invasion he summons be small, or very large?

This map was originally made for the TLK clan's small-freebuild contest. It was the second-place winner of the Arthurian entry.
You will note several eye-candies on this map, including a sandy shoreline, a cave in the cliffside, a fordable river, and a fountain.
This map is intended to be merely a bit of fun or a training practice for new players in the art of defense. All the resources a new player could make much use of here are provided, and pitch can be purchased.
